Innovation in the Professional Domain shows a decreasing lead-time and sometimes carries disruptive characteristics. An adequate answer of Professional Higher Education is to accommodate a part of the curriculum to labour market requirements. This is initiated by the Institute Automotive amongst three communities, respectively Education, Research and Professional Domain, in an Adaptive Learning Triangle. In my PhD-research the focus is on understanding rationalities of involved professionals, enabling e.g. capitalization of individual requirements of each community as a key success indicator.

This paper addresses the setup of a case study in an Adaptive Learning Triangle, enhancing applied research and (disruptive) innovation in Professional Higher Education Institute.

The objective is to understand profession rationalities of professionals in the triangle cooperating communities, enhancing (disruptive) innovations in the curriculum of Institute Automotive. Involving professionals from the Professional Domain in the Education enhances learning skills and adoption of 21ST century skill of graduates.
