To be translated into societal impact, institutional identity must be activated in conjunction with internationalization.

How can clearly conceptualized institutional identity make internationalization more responsible, what are the possible approaches to measuring it? What are the responsible ways for a university to bring to the majority of students the benefits usually associated with mobility? How can this goal be achieved?

The objective of this session will be to:

1) find a shared definition of what are the building blocks of a responsible internationalization strategy:

a. identity

b. inclusiveness

c. internationalization at home

d. research

e. employability

2) focus on finding for every area some kind of metrics that can inform all stakeholders if the responsible internationalization goals have been met;

3) focus on the debate on the societal impact of internationalization understood as bringing benefits to the whole society reaching beyond solely academic and economic result.
