#EAIR2019 Programme
Stakeholder engagement for defining the concept of value in the evaluation of applied research
Track:
Special

Workshop
Room:
to be announced
This workshop will engage colleagues in a process of problematizing the co-designing of evaluative frameworks for applied research in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
Specifically the workshop will aim to identify and clearly articulate the most significant questions that need to be answered in order to produce a framework for the purposes of evaluating applied research:
• To what extent should groups external to HEIs be involved in the process of defining value?
• How do we identify and engage with these groups?
• What are the fundamental questions that need to be answered in order to define value in a given applied context?
A key objective of the workshop will be to bring together a diverse group of colleagues to use the outputs from this session to develop best practice guidance for HEIs and other interested parties to use when co-designing evaluative frameworks for applied research.
