The Responsible University: Contemporary Cases from the Nordic Countries

The round table is based on a book project which undertakes an investigation on how the notion of responsibility manifests itself at various levels within Nordic HE, a critically important sector within the context of the Nordic welfare model. The Nordic model has been rather successful in combining equity (public good/safety net) with efficiency (markets and competition). The project brings together a set of novel, conceptual and empirical contributions from within the Nordic region, and the round table highlights lessons learned.
